Series 500 pumps utilize the company’s Variable Oil By-pass stroke adjustment, which allows better valve performance when compared to variable-linkage designs, according to the manufacturer. Series 7000 can handle viscosities in excess of 5000 cps, and capacity can be adjusted by a micrometer dial while the pump is running. The variable-speed drives allow greater turndown range or automatic capacity control.
