Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic Tower Parts

With a 50-year life expectancy, fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene (FRP) beats redwood and plywood when considering the total and life-cycle replacement costs. This advantage is amplified when taking into account the frequent replacements and required lost production plant shutdowns with the other materials. As an additional safety feature, FRP typically is supplied with an anti-slip surface as opposed to plywood. A range of FRP products are available, including deck board, flatsheet, angles, beams, threaded nuts and rods, square tubes, and weir plates and scum baffles.
