Rotary compressors have been designed for universal use. The semi-hermetic screw compressors offer high cooling capacity and COP with or without economizer operation. Conventional refrigerants, including chlorine-free HFC and R22, are suitable. Additional system benefits include redundancy without over-dimensioning and high partial-load efficiencies via powering the compressors up and down.
