Lytron Inc., Woburn, Mass., launched a recirculating chiller selector tool on its web site, www.lytron.com. Based on user input of heat load, the program selects up to five recirculating chillers that will work for the application. The selection process can be further refined by inputting the setpoint temperature, ambient temperature, desired flow rate or power configuration. The user then configures the chiller by selecting a pump, controller package and options. The tool provides pump curves and complete descriptions of the controller packages and upgrade options.
Plumsteadville, Pa.-based Scott Specialty Gases' western manufacturing facility in Denver achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification. The facility joins Scott's Pennsylvania, Texas, California and New Jersey facilities that earned ISO 9001:2000 certification in August 2003. Other Scott facilities located in North America and in Europe are ISO 9000 certified and are slated to upgrade to ISO 9001:2000 certification. Scott Specialty Gases is a worldwide supplier of high-purity and mixed gases for industrial, scientific, medical and semiconductor applications.
