Aggreko Awarded for Safety

On June 20, Aggreko LLC's Beaumont Depot was awarded two safety awards from the Industrial Safety Training Council.

On June 20, Houston-based Aggreko LLC's Beaumont Depot was awarded two safety awards from the Industrial Safety Training Council (ISTC), Baytown, Texas. The awards presentation is part of a comprehensive safety awards program that was developed to promote contractor safety and accident prevention in the petroleum, refining and petrochemical manufacturing industries and related services of Southeast Texas. Aggreko was awarded the ISTC Safety Achievement Awards for Incidence Rate and Years Worked.

To qualify for the Incident Rate Award, a company must achieve a 25 percent or greater reduction in the total recordable incidence rate with no fatalities during the 2001 calendar year. Aggreko achieved a 100 percent reduction in recordable incidences. The depot completed four consecutive years without a lost workday case involving days away from work or a fatality to win the Years Worked Award.
