A water chiller from Motivair Corp. has welded frame construction with coaxial evaporators inside an internal reservoir. This design allows the compressor to cycle off and on in direct proportion to the cooling load. Its nonproprietary microprocessor board is a plug-in component. Stainless steel pumps are fitted with a bypass line to prevent a dead head condition if the chilled water line is closed. May/June 2000, RS# 201
