Fiberglass Cooling Tower

Berg Chilling Systems' line of single- and dual-cell cooling towers is made of extra thick fiberglass to provide a long service life. Fiberglass-reinforced polyester casings and water basins have UV-inhibitor in the gel coat to eliminate fiberglass deterioration and pigment fading. Tower is supplied assembled on a structural steel integral base. Pipe connections are welded in place for easier installation and hookup. Additional features include PVC fill; standard NEMA-frame TEFC motors with no belts or gear reducers; low speed propeller fans; stainless steel internal framing and hardware; one-piece water distributor with no moving parts and nonclogging design; PVC drift eliminators; and nonferrous inlet baffles.

Molded Plastic Cooling Tower

TM Series expands Delta Cooling Towers Inc.'s unit capacity up to 2,000 cooling tons. The engineered-plastic molded tower is designed to provide longer life than traditional metal towers without the high costs typically associated with those designs. Features include a unitarily molded seamless leak-proof sump with I-beam pockets; nonclog, large orifice spray nozzles; double-wall, seamless, high density polyethylene shell; and direct-drive fan. The modular design allows various cells to be isolated if required.

Cooling Tower with Counterflow Design

FPT Series uses a fiberglass panel technology that offers low maintenance and high performance. Advantages of this technology from Midwest Towers Inc. include a structure that is UV protected and fire retardant. The components and subassemblies are factory assembled for consistent, safe construction. The pultruded fiberglass deck has a nonskid coating.

Crossflow Cooling Tower

Stack-Pack from Phelps Engineering Co. has a small footprint that makes it suitable for applications with limited space or for areas where basins are expensive to install. The tower uses a combination of film and splash fills. The heavy concentration of water flow in crossflow operation helps keep fill free of debris and scale. The distribution system is accessible while the tower is running to ease maintenance.

Redesigned Fiberglass Cooling Tower

Available in sizes from 100 to 140 tons, Thermal Care's FC 600 line is redesigned in a two fiberglass half configuration vs. four quarters for improved shape integrity and to ease maintenance. Each tower comes standard with a 10-year warranty on the shell and a five-year warranty on all other components. All FC Series towers (available to 240 tons) are constructed of nonferrous materials, including a lightweight, fiberglass-reinforced polyester shell and structural support as well as PVC fill, drift eliminator and water distribution system.

Modular Cooling Tower

Suitable for applications that require 250 to 250,000 gal/min, cooling towers from Tower Tech Inc. offer anticlogging rotary spray nozzles that automatically adjust to variable water flow while delivering a hydraulically uniform square spray pattern across the tower fill. Redundant direct-drive motors are located in the cool, dry, entering airstream beneath each tower module, providing long service life and easing access to mechanical equipment.

Closed-Circuit Cooling Tower

Evapco's ESW line is designed for energy savings and has low sound levels as standard. The company uses its Optimized Technology where 100 percent of coil heat is removed by sensible heat transfer -- no evaporation takes place on the coil. All evaporative cooling occurs in the counterflow fill section for maximum evaporative cooling efficiency. Additional benefits of the design include easy access to the coil and basin. Fan motors are accessible from outside the unit.

Counterflow/Crossflow Cooling Towers

Ecodyne designs and builds counterflow/crossflow cooling towers for utilities and process industries. Complete cooling tower services also are offered, including reconstruction, upgrade, inspection, testing and replacement parts.

Basinless Cooling Tower

Series 3000 is designed to increase equipment life and reduce installation costs. From Baltimore Aircoil Co., the basinless cooling tower can be applied directly to projects utilizing new or existing concrete cold water basins. This custom feature provides a cost-sensitive alternative for many field-erected cooling tower projects. The basinless models also complement stringent equipment seismic requirements.

Nonferrous Cooling Tower Cells

The Power Tower line of cooling towers from Advantage Engineering is manufactured of nonferrous materials to provide high performance and long service life. Made of a high strength, custom-designed fiberglass shell, the tower is supplied with a structural steel base and is ready for roof-top or elevated-stand mounting. Its honey-comb channeled, stacked wet deck ensures maximum heat transfer, and the TEFC motor and fan assembly employ a direct-drive design to minimize service requirements.

Crossflow Cooling Tower

Model LRC-H offers lighter operational weights and reduces space requirements. From Amcot Cooling Tower Corp., the crossflow cooling tower employs a multicell design to accommodate seasonal cooling needs. Future expansion is achievable by adapting the existing towers.

Corrosion-Resistant Cooling Tower

From Whaley Products Inc., cooling tower employs a three-section design that slips one section into the others, eliminating the need for gaskets that could leak. The fiberglass sections are connected with stainless steel bolts for ease of assembly and disassembly. In operation, water entering the tower is sprayed uniformly over the large surface area of the tower wet decking. The fan induces airflow in the opposite direction of the water. The combination of airflow and a large surface area evaporates a small percentage of water, providing cooling.

Cooling Tower

Marley Cooling Technologies' rotomolded polyethylene hot and cold water UniBasin technology has a leak-proof, corrosion-proof 10-year warranty. Available in gear or belt drive, the NC cooling tower is available up to 1,812 tons in a single cell, which is reported to be the largest factory assembled tower on the market.

Fiberglass Cooling Tower

Suited for use in plastics and other process applications, cooling tower from Cooling Tower Systems Inc. is constructed of fiberglass to ensure tower durability. The lighter weight of a fiberglass tower also enables a smaller, more energy-efficient fan motor to be used, providing cost savings. All units are designed, engineered and tested in the company's research and development laboratory.

Evaporative Towers

Freeze-Co can provide all types of cooling towers from fiberglass models to crossflow, counterflow and forced draft technologies to meet individual conditions. Tower systems are available for closed-loop and free-cooling options and can be equipped with side-stream filtration, heat traced insulation, elevating structures and other thermal and mechanical requirements.

Field-Erected Cooling Towers

Product line includes mechanical draft and natural draft cooling towers, counterflow designs, wood, concrete, fiberglass and steel structures as well as designs for special applications requiring wet/dry or low noise. Hamon Cooling Towers' pre-engineered unit, the Coolfill, integrates state-of-the-art thermal, structural and mechanical technology. All towers are designed in accordance with Cooling Technology Institute guidelines and the national design specifications for wood construction to produce a fully optimized cooling tower that maximizes performance and reliability while minimizing costs.

Temporary Cooling Towers

Utilizing Aggreko's temporary cooling towers allows a plant to continue running at 100 percent capacity while routine or emergency maintenance needs are met. The modular cooling towers can be installed and fully functional within a short time frame. The company also offers a full service option for power requirements, including generators, transformers, electrical distribution, cable and other accessories.

Cooling Tower Filter

Cottonwood-pollen screening system fromAir Solution Co.keeps cooling towers free of airborne debris such as bugs, paper, birds, cottonwood and pollen. Made of vinyl-coated polyester media, they are specifically engineered for high volume, high velocity airflow systems. The system can be easily cleaned with a broom, brush or shop vacuum.

Cooling Tower Systems

QPC Systems Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of IdraPrince, designs and manufactures a range of industrial temperature control equipment. Systems available include cooling tower systems, central and portable air- and water-cooled chillers, hot oil units and water-circulating temperature control systems.
