Heatcraft Refrigeration Products, headquartered in Tifton, Ga., achieved certification for three domestic facilities to ISO9001:2000, a new set of requirements that eliminates the distinction between sites that design and manufacture and those that manufacture only.
A three-year grace period was granted by ISO for upgrading certification to these new requirements, and Heatcraft has successfully completed the upgrades within the first two years. Heatcraft's Danville, Ill., facility earned certification in September 2002; the Stone Mountain, Ga., facility obtained certification in November 2002; and the Tifton, Ga., plant earned certification in December 2002.
MovinCool, Long Beach, Calif., a supplier of industrial portable air conditioning systems, and Trane, LaCrosse, a supplier of indoor comfort and industrial process systems, have formed a partnership agreement to sell MovinCool products through Trane's 125 North American parts centers. Under the agreement, Trane technicians also will service the equipment, providing afterhours emergency service and ongoing maintenance support.

Lytron Inc., Woburn, Mass., added a cold plate selector tool to its web site, located at www.lytron.com. Based on user inputs of heat load, desired surface temperature, incoming liquid temperature, surface area and flow rate, the program selects up to three cold plates from the company's 25 standard products that will work for the application.
