To avoid oxidation in brewing,Praxair Technology Inc.offers a nitrogen stripping system that reduces dissolved oxygen in process water. As an inert gas, nitrogen is dispersed in the form of small bubbles at a given flow rate, which in turn creates a concentration gradient that forces dissolved oxygen to diffuse into a gas phase. Oxygen and spent nitrogen are vented from the process. Units are available for inline, batch and multistage column stripping. Stripping device is made from food-grade stainless steel, is sized to fit and requires one-time calibration.
