SR Series from Refrigerating Specialties Division of Parker Hannifin provides refrigeration systems users with a safety-relief valve designed in response to recent code and standard changes. The codes require safety relief valve replacement every five years and establishing reduced allowable outlet piping capacities. The reduced-capacity safety-relief valve can be used as a replacement for existing valves that have more capacity than is required by the application. Using a reduced-capacity valve can eliminate the need for outlet piping changes that would be required by code if a higher capacity valve is used. Valve can be used with R-22, R-717, R-507 and other common refrigerants. Designed to meet ASME VIII and International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) standards, the valve is available in pressure relief settings from 10.3 to 27.6 bar.
