New Spot Cooling Component Solves Heat Problems, and Panel Guard Coolers Offer Thermal Protection

Cold Air Tubes™ Deliver Sub-Zero Air

New Spot Cooling Component Solves Heat Problems

Vortec has introduced Cold Air Tubes™ -- a compact, ready-to-use source of refrigerated air. With no moving parts, the tubes convert compressed air into a low pressure stream of cold air that reaches temperatures as low as -20oF (-28.89oC). Cold Air Tubes are designed to kill heat buildup that can slow production or create problems on parts and equipment. Their sub-zero airflows offer an effective spot cooling solution for use on machinery and in fabrication, assembly or processes. At less than 10" long, the maintenance-free cooling component is adaptable for numerous applications, with three models available offering different cooling capacities. Cold Air Tubes are easily installed, provide instant on/off performance, quiet operation, and are covered by a 10-year warranty.

Easy, Affordable Enclosure Cooling

Panel Guard Coolers Offer Thermal Protection

Vortec has expanded its line of Vortex Cooler™ enclosure cooling systems with two new models for NEMA 4X rated electrical cabinets. The stainless steel Panel Guard™ models feature an integral mechanical thermostat to maintain enclosure temperatures within a range of 80o to 120oF (27o to 49oC). Requiring only a compressed air supply to operate, the Panel Guard cooler quickly installs in a 1.5" knockout hole to keep electrical control panels cool, clean and protected. An affordable, maintenance-free alternative to air conditioners, the compact (only 6.75" tall when mounted) Coolers incorporate vortex tube technology to convert filtered compressed air into a low pressure, refrigerated air stream distributed throughout the enclosure. Vortex Coolers maintain a light positive pressure inside the cabinet to effectively seal out the surrounding contamination, heat and humidity that can wreak havoc on sensitive electronic controls. The refrigerated air produced by the vortex tube inside the Cooler enters the enclosure while hot air is expelled through a relief valve. The new UL-listed Panel Guard models are weatherproof, corrosion-resistant, and deliver 1500 or 2500 BTUH of refrigeration. Vortec offers Vortex Cooler systems for NEMA 4, 4X and 12 rated enclosures and, with a minor modification, they are well suited for hazardous locations as well. Backed by a 10-year warranty, Vortex Cooler models range from 900 to 5000 BTUH cooling capacity.
