Compact 400 BTU unit from Electrografics has an integral power supply and adjustable thermostat. Unit operates on nominal 150 VAC input and can operate over the range of 100 to 130 VAC. Nominal 230 VAC units will operate with the same performance over the range of 200 to 260 VAC due to an internal regulator. The air-conditioner's design expels power-supply waste heat with the outside exhaust air so that the cooling performance from the internal Peltier device is not materially reduced. The design also allows for less stress to the cooling elements.
