2003 PIE Postponed

International Exposition Company, owner and producer of Process Industries Exposition, decided to postpone the 2003 event that was scheduled for March 31-April 2 in New Orleans.

International Exposition Company (IEC), Westport, Conn., owner and producer of Process Industries Exposition (PIE), decided to postpone the 2003 event that was scheduled for March 31-April 2 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Show management is considering future dates for rescheduling beginning in 2005.

Despite interest and support from the chemical processing industry, IEC says the current economic climate would not allow the show to reach its previous stature and future potential.

IEC acquired the biennial show in 1999 from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), which holds its Spring National Meeting in conjunction with the Expo. AIChE will hold their 2003 Spring National Meeting in New Orleans as originally scheduled.
