IIAR 2002 Ammonia Refrigeration Conference & Exhibition offers a technical program filled with chillingly pertinent information for those who work in the ammonia refrigeration arena.

IIAR 2002 Ammonia Refrigeration Conference & Exhibition, which will be held March 17-20 at Destination Crown Center in Kansas City, Mo., offers a technical program filled with chillingly pertinent information for those who work in the ammonia refrigeration arena.

Each year, IIAR's program committee selects technical papers from respected and knowledgeable industry experts. Each examines specific topics and reports on state-of-the-art developments in the ammonia refrigeration industry.

This year, topics include food freezing times and heat transfer coefficients, single-stage vs. two-stage efficiency considerations, relief valves, corrosion control under insulation, microbial control in air-handling systems, requalification of refrigerant pressure vessels and containers, hydraulic shock, gravity separators, integrating industrial refrigeration plants and process heating plants into on-site generation systems, and energy costs and their effects of refrigeration system design.

In addition to formal technical papers, panel discussions and informational presentations will focus on topics of current interest.

After short presentations, the panelists will answer and debate questions from the audience. Topics include machinery room design, process safety management, CO2 equipment and mechanical integrity.

In addition to the technical program and panel discussions, the exhibit hall will host more than 100 equipment/services suppliers. For more information, visit www.iiar.org or call (703) 312-4200.
