Air Temperature Sensor for Enclosures
November 3, 2007
Snap-in temperature sensor offers a clip design that enables the sensor to monitor air temperature within an enclosure. The sensor’s fast-response thermistor element is integrated into a potted metal housing that can be snapped into a 0.3" dia. predrilled hole in sheet metal. The design keeps the sensor off of the sheet metal; on the back side, the plastic-molded body with built-in strain relief thermally separates the assembly from the environment. The sensor offers standard resistance values ranging from 2,252 to 10,000 ohm at 77oF (25oC) with a range of thermistor values and curves.
