Heat Exchangers for Tire Manufacturing
May 1, 2007
To produce summer and winter tires for cars and tires for heavy machinery, Nokian Tyres of Finland relies on heat exchanger technology from Sweden’s Swep.
“Some Swep products are used as a part of cooling stations for our tread and sidewall line and inner liner line,” Andrey Spirin, Nokian purchase coordinator says. “Other Swep heat exchangers are used as part of the cooling equipment for mixers in the rubber compound department.”
Nokian Tyres is the largest retreading materials manufacturer in the Nordic countries. According to Spirin, Swep’s heat exchanger technology represents competitive strengths. The company has delivered several different size compact brazed heat exchangers to help Nokian fulfill orders in key markets such as Russia, North America, Eastern Europe and the Alpine area.
