Dry-R eliminates water in industrial refrigeration systems by changing its chemical composition rather than masking or converting it to an oil-like substance. The additive chemically reacts with system water, resulting a molecularly reassembled liquid that is completely soluble with AB, mineral, POE and PAG oils used in refrigeration systems. According to the manufacturer, instead of a particulate, gel or soft polymer formation, the liquid stabilizes the system by lowering the overall water (ppm) within the oil. After the chemical reaction, water can no longer attach chemically to refrigeration system contaminants and form sludge.
