Cleveland-based Parker Hannifin, a maker of motion and control technologies, has acquired Detroit Plasticos e Metais S/A (Detroit) of Sao Paulo, Brazil, a manufacturer of high performance fittings, valves, manifolds and thermoplastic tubing.

Cryogenic Industries, Murrieta, Calif., appointed James Estes managing director of ACD and Cryogenic Industries. Estes is responsible for the ACD cryogenic reciprocating and centrifugal pump and turboexpander manufacturing facility, as well as the extensive global service and repair network that falls under Cryogenic Industries service companies.

Turner Designs Hydrocarbon Instruments Inc., Fresno, Calif., promoted David Doting to vice president, general manager. Also, Duane Germenis joined Turner as vice president of sales and marketing. The company manufactures UV fluorescence analyzers for measuring hydrocarbons in water and soil.
