The AirChip 3000 forms the core of the company’s HygroClip 2, a winner of AHR Expo’s 2009 Innovation Awards. Capabilities include the compensation of humidity and temperature at 30,000 reference points; the recording of 2,000 data points; and the calculation of dew points. The chip also performs self-diagnostics, and if sensor accuracy declines significantly, the chip recognizes the problem and issues an alarm. It internally combines an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit), micro-controller and a non-volatile, electronic memory.
