Rittal Adds 3D CAD Library for Enclosures
June 30, 2009
Computer-aided design (CAD) models for industrial, climate control, busbar power distribution and IT solutions, including enclosures, racks and accessories, have been added to a CAD library on one manufacturer's web site.
Rittal Corp., Urbana, Ohio, created the library to allow users to access information about product models in a range of native, neutral and image formats. On www.rittal-corp.com, the database contains 2-D drawings and 3-D models for more than 2,000 parts. The library includes files in low, medium and high resolutions to give users the ability to tailor the level of detail to their specifications.
By using the online tool, denoted by a "3-D" icon beside applicable part numbers or found by clicking the "Downloads" tab on the product detail pages of the web site, customers can obtain product information that simplifies enclosure system design.
