At Dimplex Thermal Solutions, we recommend ongoing preventive maintenance to our chillers that will increase efficiency. Often overlooked, the simplest of these measures is the consistent cleaning of condenser coils and cleanable air filters. Excessive buildup of dirt, oil and other debris on the condenser coil will cause refrigerant pressures to increase and not allow the unit to perform to its full capacity. Use compressed air at no more than 30 PSI to blow out the condenser in the opposite direction of airflow. If the unit is equipped with cleanable air filters, clean them with compressed air or wash them out with water and allow drying before reinstallation.
