Air Products, Allentown, Pa., acquired Poly-Flow Engineering
LLC, Albuquerque, N.M., which manufactures equipment for advanced chemical
delivery and precision cleaning for leading semiconductor manufacturers.
Cargill Meats Thailand, Bangkok, is expanding its integrated
poultry processing operations at its Korat, Thailand, complex. The project
includes a primary processing plant, expansion of the existing hatchery and new
breeder farms. A new feed mill with an annual poultry feed production capacity
of 360,000 tons also will be built. The project is expected to take
approximately two years to complete.
Air Liquide Large Industries U.S. LP, Houston, entered into
agreements with Valero Energy Corp., San Antonio, Texas, for the long-term
supply of hydrogen to two Texas refineries: one in Texas City and the other in
Port Arthur. Air Liquide will supply a total of 105 million ft3/day to the two
refineries.
ABB, Zurich, has received an order from Hyundai Engineering
& Construction Co. Ltd., Seoul, to supply a 132 kV substation that will
support a 360 MW power plant in Bangladesh, scheduled for completion in 2013.
Elsewhere, ABB has launched its Symphony Plus distributed control system that
it says provides higher plant productivity and energy efficiency, enhanced
operational security, plant safety and a lower total cost of ownership.
Austin, Texas-based Danube Refinery of the MOL Group,
Budapest, has been named the 2010 Hart Plant of the Year by the Hart
Communication Foundation, Austin. This marks the fourth year out of the last
six where Emerson Process Management technologies have played a key role at
plants winning the award. Emerson's global headquarters is in Chanhassen, Minn.
Tecumseh Products Co., Ann Arbor, Mich., has named James J.
Connor president and CEO.
Scott Boak has joined the PureLine Treatment Systems as
procurement manager for headquarters in Palatine, Ill.
