Portable, Handheld Bacteria Monitoring
February 16, 2010
The ATP method can be used to test bulk water and surfaces for microbial activity, microbial levels and fouling rates in the industrial process and cooling water. It can be used in applications such as cooling towers, oil-field-produced water, re-injection water, chill loops and hot loops. ATP can be accomplished using the photomultiplier-based AMSALite III ATP Analyzer. The hand-held unit complements traditional bacterial counting methods such as dipslides and Petrifilm. Easy-to-use and simple to read, the tester produces results in just 30 seconds.
