EchoSonic II can be used to monitor the level of water in the cooling tower system, sending a continuous 4 to 20 mA signal back to the controllers. The signal, coupled to a controller, activates a pump by the chiller and a solenoid valve, adding makeup water into the system without running an additional water line. The ultrasonic level transmitter also provides a 4 to 20 mA signal into the SCADA system, allowing continuous monitoring of the makeup water in the cooling tower.
