More efficient air conditioners have higher cooling efficiency factors. As an example, assume an enclosure air conditioner operating at 460 V and 60 Hz. Cooling capacity 95/95 and 60 Hz is 2,700 W. Power consumption at 95/95 and 60 Hz is 1,500 W. To calculate the cooling efficiency factor, divide cooling capacity (2,700 W) by power consumption (1,500 W), which yields a cooling efficiency factor of 1.8.
