The Brightwater Treatment Plant, a $1.8 billion project in King County near Seattle, will have the capability to process 36 million gal of wastewater per day by 2011 without any detectable odors. Air will be collected from enclosed process areas, buildings and loading areas, and then routed to seven odor-control scrubbers.
National Environmental Fiberglass LLC, Adelanto, Calif., fabricated the chemical scrubbers. Each unit measures 27' x 10' 6" x 12' 9" and was constructed with Hetron FR 992 epoxy vinyl ester resin. NEF, a custom fabricator for 22 years., specializes in water treatment, wastewater, chemical filtration and odor-control equipment.
