The Cincinnati Business Courier’s 2011 Green Business Awards has named water treatment company APTech Group Inc., Cincinnati, a finalist in the Green Market Strategy category.

The Cincinnati Business Courier, in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council's Cincinnati Regional Chapter, created the awards to honor and recognize people, companies and organizations demonstrating leadership in sustainable practices in a variety of facilities and projects.

APTech’s EnduroSolv water treatment products enable cleaner, greener and safer solutions for cooling towers, closed-loop systems and boiler water.

EnduroSolv, a proprietary form of solid water treatment chemicals, allow the mixing of several chemical components into one chemical without the addition of hazardous chemicals. The resulting solid products are less expensive to ship and safer to store and use than traditional liquid water treatment chemicals, according to the company.

“It is gratifying to be recognized for efforts that are consistent with APTech’s ongoing commitment to develop and manufacture sustainable products for the water treatment industry,” says James Heimert, APTech's CEO.

The award winner will be announced at a ceremony in March.
