In Indonesia, a maker of food ingredients is using tubular stainless steel membrane technology from Hyflux Membrane Manufacturing Pte. Ltd., Singapore, to filter streams that have high viscosity, temperature and pressure, and high levels of suspended solids and high oil content.

The characteristics of FerroCep’s material and structure allow it to be used in many applications, says the company. Its sharp pore-size distribution has improved applications in the clarification of fermentation broths and chemical reagent, as well as oil-water separation and catalyst-recovery applications.
