Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic, Self-Cleaning Screen Filters
September 28, 2011
Self-cleaning screen filters in fiberglass-reinforced plastic provides corrosion resistance in brackish, brine and seawater filtration applications. All wetted components of the FRP Series are constructed from seawater-resistant plastic and other high alloy materials. The filters, which withstand pressures up to 150 psi, are available with an online or inline flange configuration to ease installation and integration with pipelines. The units have a two-stage screening process: a coarse screen is responsible for straining out large debris and the fine screen purifies water to the designated micron rating. The short backwash cycle does not interrupt the main system flow.
