Alfa Laval, Lund, Sweden, has won an order to supply newly developed decanters for cleaning industrial wastewater in Canada. The $16.28 million project is scheduled for delivery this year.
From Newalta Corp., a Calgary provider of engineered environmental solutions for industrial customers, the order consists of specially developed Alfa Laval decanters to be used for large wastewater reclamation operations.
“This is the second large order for these newly developed Alfa Laval decanters, and it confirms our ability to develop technical solutions that meet new customer demands in water treatment,” says Lars Renström, Alfa Laval Group president and CEO.
The decanter is expected to have twice the lifetime on main-wear parts compared to other brands, according to Alfa Laval.
