The tool allows users to search by use from three main categories. They include general purpose, usually for water or wastewater applications; tough processes, for optimizing sensor life where there are high temperatures or aggressive chemicals; or specialty. Typical applications that fall in the specialty category include those with:

High purity requirements of less than 5 µS/cm.
Non-glass sensors.
Steam-in-place temperatures up to 284°F (140°C).
Hydrofluoric acid being present.
Poisoning resistance, especially in sulfides.
