A sensor selection tool from Rosemount Analytical allows users to find the Emerson sensor that meets their specific pH/ORP measurement requirements.

A sensor selection tool from Rosemount Analytical, a unit of Emerson Process Management, Austin, allows users to find the Emerson sensor that meets their specific pH/ORP measurement requirements. The tool allows users to search by use from three main categories. They include general purpose, usually for water or wastewater applications; tough processes, for optimizing sensor life where there are high temperatures or aggressive chemicals; or specialty. Typical applications that fall in the specialty category include those with:
  • High purity requirements of less than 5 µS/cm.
  • Non-glass sensors.
  • Steam-in-place temperatures up to 284°F (140°C).
  • Hydrofluoric acid being present.
  • Poisoning resistance, especially in sulfides.
Sensor information then can be reviewed for specification features, mounting details and other options. Find the tool by visiting www.rosemountanalytical.com and clicking on the “pH & ORP Selection Guide” button.
