IIAR will host a free Ammonia Safety Training Day in association with its 2012 conference and exhibition. The International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration will host the safety day on Sunday, March 18, in Milwaukee, Wis. Its annual conference and exhibition will be held Monday, March 19, though Wednesday, March 21, at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center in Milwaukee.

Safety training is especially important because well-trained employees are better prepared to prevent accidents and respond to emergency situations. This year, IIAR also is providing an opportunity for end-user ammonia refrigeration facilities to work with emergency responders to develop effective emergency planning at the IIAR Ammonia Safety Training Day.

IIAR’s Training Day includes an introduction to regulatory and code responsibilities followed by an overview of emergency planning and personal protective equipment.
