New South Carolina Geared Motor Plant for Siemens

As part of the company’s Drives Technologies Division, Mechanical Drives Business Unit, Siemens Industry Inc. will open an assembly and manufacturing plant in Mauldin, S.C.

²assembly and manufacturing plant Mauldin, S.C. Siemens anticipates opening the facility later this year.

The facility will assemble the Atlanta-based company's Simogear family of geared motors, with helical, parallel shaft and helical bevel gear units primarily used in conveyor systems for food and beverage processing and other uses. Siemens Mechanical Drives Business Unit manufactures mechanical and electrical drive equipment typically used in mechanical designs, including processing, transport and conveying systems, power generation and off-shore applications.
