In a move to exploit its entire liquid-submersion portfolio, HardcoreComputer Inc., Rochester, Minn., has changed its name to LiquidCool Solutions. Plans are to integrate and license its technologies for high-growth applications.

The company will address solutions to heat transfer problems in or related to electronic devices, LiquidCool says.

LiquidCool’s technology uses dielectric fluid for plug-and-play solutions that deliver precise intelligent and direct cooling suitable for mass-market applications. The market for direct cooling for computing systems has grown significantly, particularly in the server and data center markets, LiquidCool says. In addition, the firm plans to explore automotive and consumer electronics. LiquidCool products readily transfer to existing manufacturing systems, the company says.
