Industrial-water purification supplier Aquatech received an
order to provide a wastewater recycle system in a gas-field development project
in Turkmenistan. Because the plant is in an area where effluents cannot be
discharged and reuse is the only option, zero-liquid discharge was specified in
the project.
Based in Sharjah, UAE, Aquatech will
supply its high efficiency reverse osmosis technology to achieve 90 percent
recovery of the total wastewater, the company says.
The system is designed to operate outdoor
equipment in an ambient condition of -18.4°F (-28°C). Aquatech has previously
executed projects under similar ambient conditions, notably in China.
