Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and to Emerson Climate Technologies, St. Louis, its Copeland Scroll compressor is the canvas. In celebration of the company’s 25th year and 100 millionth Copeland Scroll compressor, the units are being embellished for show in a global program honoring the milestones.

Each of the eight Copeland Scroll compressor manufacturing facilities around the world has turned one of the units into art, reflecting each plant’s local community. Employees and area artists from Sidney, Ohio; Lebanon, Mo.; Natchitoches, La.; Suzhou, China; Rayong, Thailand; Cookstown, Ireland; Reynosa, Mexico and Welkenraedt, Belgium, have applied their talents in designing and painting the equipment.

The decorated compressors will travel to various trade shows, including the 2013 AHR Expo planned for January. To see photos of Emerson employees creating their designs, go to the company’s Facebook page at http://on.fb.me/UMvMgm.
