Compared with more conventional heat transfer fluids, such as coolants, nanofluidic coolants exhibit enhanced thermal conductivity. In the paper "Enhanced thermal conductivity of ethylene glycol with single-walled carbon nanotube inclusions" published in the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, researchers found that their single-walled carbon nanotube nanofluid exhibits an increase in conductivity of up to almost 15 percent.
