The Waterloo Wastewater Treatment Plant in Waterloo, Ont., has ordered two heat exchangers, each capable of providing 5 million BTU/hr, as part of a $118 million project. The heat exchangers from DDI Inc., Montreal, and ordered through sales representative Directrik Inc., in Milton, Ont., have rectangular channels with wide gaps, meeting the design requirements of consulting engineering firm Aecom in Kitchener, Ont. DDI’s units, called “Rectangular, Square, Cube” heat exchangers, were chosen because of the client’s tight space and non-plug requirements.
