Iceman SM Series is available in capacities from 5 to 15 hp. The high-efficiency modulating chillers utilize the Copeland scroll digital compressor, which is capable of providing variable capacity output from 10 percent to 100 percent by axially separating internal scroll members. A controlled amount of discharge gas is bypassed for a varying amount of time, resulting in a reduction of compressor output that conserves energy while maintaining temperature stability.
