Variable frequency drives provide protection against harsh ambient conditions, enabling users to mount the drive at the equipment location to reduce installation costs and improve equipment performance. All cast aluminum parts are powder coated with an epoxy that can withstand most corrosive chemicals. Because the drives are inherently UL Type 4X, there is no need for a separate enclosure. The 4X rating also makes them suitable for NEMA/UL Type 4 and 3R environments.
