A mobile application that can be used to diagnose pressure-temperature relationships in refrigeration and air conditioning systems was released by Parker Hannifin Corp. via its Refrigerating Specialities Division in Broadview, Ill.

Proper analysis of the pressure to temperature relationship can assist designers and help service technicians diagnose a system issue quickly. The app, called the ChillMaster P-T Chart, allows for quick conversion by providing essential refrigeration data to mobile devices. Technicians and contractors will find user-friendly design, precise calculations and customization options such as saving regularly used refrigerants and selecting a preferred unit of measurement in the app.

The refrigerant data is based on National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) refrigerant properties. More than 70 refrigerants, including both traditional and natural refrigerants, are listed. App extras include a training article, “Using the P-T Chart as a Service Tool.”

The app is available to both Android  and Apple iOS users via www.parker.com/chillmaster.
