Pfannenberg Inc., Lancaster, N.Y., was recognized as one of western New York’s fastest-growing companies for 2013, placing 17th out of 50 overall.

Buffalo Business First newspaper held its annual Fast Track Companies award reception in June, where the rankings of privately held area companies were revealed. The ranking is determined by a score based on percentage of growth in total sales over a three-year period along with number of employees added to the company.

The award follows Pfannenberg being named as a 2013 Manufacturing Award winner by Business First in April. Of the categories workforce training, sustainability, safety, innovation, exporting, community involvement and overall excellence, Pfannenberg ― along with General Motors and Keller Technology Corp. ― was recognized in the category of overall excellence as a company that has had a major economic impact on the region.
