The Association of Water Technologies will offer water technology training seminars in 2014.
The Rockville, Md.-based organization will host its water treatment training seminar on March 6-8 in Las Vegas and April 24-26 in Indianapolis. Session topics include cooling water chemistry, corrosion and scale; cooling water microbiology and biofilms; feed and control equipment; pretreatment/filtration; water chemistry; and boiler water treatment.
On the same dates in the same locations, AWT will offer a service technician training seminar intended to provide service and account management representatives with industry know-how. Session topics include feed equipment, cooling water treatment programs, cooling tower technology overview and how to write a service ticket.
In addition, in advance of the three-day seminars, AWT offers a one-day sales training seminar on March 5 in Las Vegas and April 23 in Indianapolis.
Following the seminars, AWT will administer the certified water technologist (CWT) exam on March 9 and April 27 in Las Vegas and Indianapolis, respectively. The CWT designation provides professional recognition and indicates that an individual has achieved a high level of experience, knowledge and education in the water industry.
