Spectronics Corp.’s Water-Glo Series of fluorescent dyes have been NSF certified and registered to meet food-grade processing requirements for category codes G7, GX and HTX-2. The certification means the leak-detection dyes can be used in and around food processing areas.
G7 chemicals are acceptable as an ingredient for use in boiler treatment products, which includes all food processing areas and nonfood contact. These products are used for treating boilers, steam lines or cooling systems where neither the treated water nor the steam produced may contact anything edible.
