Danfoss Turbocor Compressors Inc. introduced a line of compressors incorporating the company’s new IntraFlow technology at the 2014 AHR Expo in New York City in January.

The VTT (Variable Twin Turbo) series of compressors will be available with nominal capacity ranges from 200 to 350 tons for voltage applications between 380 to 460 V as well as 575 V. These models are for water-cooled or evaporative cooled chiller applications and will carry the ETL and CE PED mark.

 According to the company, VTT models are oil-free, variable-speed, magnetic bearing centrifugal compressors. This is the first series of compressors to include IntraFlow technology, which improves compressor efficiency and provides an extended stable operating range while simplifying capacity control. The new drive technology will be exclusive to the VTT series of compressors. A 350-ton compressor will be the first from the series to be available; deliveries will start in the third quarter of 2014.
