Robert Wilkins, vice president public & industry affairs for Danfoss, has been elected by the members of the Alliance for Responsible Atmospheric Policy to serve as its 2014 chairman of the board.

Wilkins predicts that 2014 will be an important year for addressing the impact of HFCs on the climate. He said that “there is growing, broad-based support for a planned, orderly phase down of HFCs while simultaneously recognizing the societal benefits of technologies such as refrigeration and air-conditioning.”

A coalition of businesses and associations in the refrigerants industry, the Alliance for Responsible Atmospheric Policy represents its members in domestic and international discussions regarding atmospheric protection and climate change mitigation. It supports policies that allow members to partner in efforts to preserve the natural environment, while balancing near-term human and economic needs.
