Howden BC Compressors, Nogent-sur-Oise, France, received two major contracts, one in the Middle East and one in South America, for the company’s Periflow range of compressors.

In the Middle East, the company has received a contract for CO₂ gas drying. Gas is dried before being transported to avoid corrosion generation in pipelines. The local steel industry generates CO₂ during the iron reduction process. It is dried through PSA molecular sieves and then regenerated using Periflow compressors. The dried CO₂ is sent to remote oil and gas extraction sites, where it is used to improve crude oil recovery.

In South America, the company has been awarded a contract for natural gas drying on a carbon capture application.
