Howden BC Compressors, Nogent-sur-Oise, France, received two major contracts, one in the Middle East and one in South America, for the company’s Periflow range of compressors.

In the Middle East, the company has received a contract for CO2 gas drying. Gas is dried before being transported to avoid corrosion generation in pipelines. The local steel industry generates CO2 during the iron reduction process. It is dried through PSA molecular sieves and then regenerated using Periflow compressors. The dried CO2 is sent to remote oil and gas extraction sites, where it is used to improve crude oil recovery.

In South America, the company has been awarded a contract for natural gas drying on a carbon capture application.
