Dry Coolers, Oxford Township, Mich., along with its Chinese joint venture DCMC Thermal Technology, installed a water-cooling system for a manufacturing plant in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, China.

The 1500-gallon-per-minute water system cools multiple heat-treating furnaces. Cooling of the open-loop water side was done with an Evapco multi-cell cooling tower. A DCMC Waterfall closed-loop pump package with Thermoflow plate and frame separated the dirty cooling tower water from the clean furnace cooling water. The new system started up in June.
