Georg Fischer LLC, part of Switzerland-based Georg Fischer Ltd.'s North American Piping Systems business unit, has expanded from its Tustin location to a new facility in Irvine, Calif., that is nearly double in size. The company, which is better known in the industrial manufacturing community as GF Piping Systems, supplies piping systems and instrumentation for the transport of liquids for industrial process control.

Heading up the new facility is James Jackson, recently appointed as head of business unit, Americas. The 115,000 ft² Irvine facility is located at 9271 Jeronimo and was selected because it can accommodate previously outsized work areas as well as future growth. The site allowed the company's office space area to double, the fabrication department to triple, and all other departments a 20 percent growth in work area.

GF Machining Solutions, formerly located in Yorba Linda, Calif., has moved their West Coast application and training center into the same building.
