Emerson Climate Technologies Inc. has formed a joint venture with Shanghai Ruking Electronics Science & Technology Co. Ltd.

The new company will be named Ruking Emerson Climate Technologies (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. It will develop and sell variable-speed inverter drives, controls and solutions for heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration market.

 Patrick (Huaigang) Lei, founder of Ruking, will continue as CEO and will lead the joint venture, managing its day-to-day operations.
